TATA SAFARI #GOLD

Indian automobile market has been deluged with series of special edition cars from TATA Motor’s when it all started with the #Dark Edition Line-up like that TATA Harrier, Nexon, Altroz & Nexon EV followed by TATA Safari Adventure Persona, and now is the Safari #Gold Edition 2021 which was showcased in IPL 2021 session hosted in Dubai. As the name suggests TATA Safari Gold edition comes with crafted Gold touches on the interior as well as the exteriors.

White Gold

A bold Gold strip runs along the length of the dash below a White Mont Blanc Marble finish panel which gives the car a premium look, some more Gold touches can be seen on the A/C vents, instrument cluster ring, TATA logo on the steering wheel & doorknobs. While the seats are made out of Oyester White-colored Diamond Quilted Genuine Leather swayed in Gold stitching and #GOLD Embroidery badging on the headrest.

Black Gold

On the similar lines of the White Gold variant, the Black variant also has a Marble finish mid pad except for the Gold Strip. The exterior of the car is also embedded in Gold color like the tri-arrow front grill with a golden chin that accentuates the DRLS and Grill along with TATA Logo, Gold cladding under the headlamps, a distinct-looking #GOLD badging on the front fender stands out highlighting the luxury elements of the SUV. Door handles are also finished in Gold, roof rails have Gold engraving on them. At the rear SAFARI, lettering is made out of Gold along with a Gold TATA logo.

Engine

Technically nothing has changed under the hood the SUV carries forwards 2.0L Kryotec Turbocharged in-line 4-Cylinder Diesel Engine that is capable of producing max power of 125kW(170PS) @ 3750rpm and 350Nm Torque between 1750-2500rpm clubbed to a 6-speed Automatic/Manual Transmission. The car gets 18-inch charcoal-grey alloy wheels which were previously seen on the Safari Adventure (Tropical Mist).

The Special #GOLD Edition is available in XZ+ and XZA+ variants with 6 and 7 seater layouts with the prices starting at ₹21.90 lakh for Manual for version and ₹23.18 lakh for the Automatic version that's ₹1.37 lakh expensive than the normal XZ+ variant for seven-seater and ₹1.52 lakh over the normal variant for XZ+ Six seater variant.

Competition
TATA Safari #Gold Edition will stand against the recently launched Mahindra XUV700, where 50K cars were booked within 3 hours when the booking commenced, a whooping sales of approximately ₹9,500 Cr in a day.
