A midsize rugged SUV inspired by the Grand Cherokee by a well-known American brand Jeep caught Indian customer's eye when it was first launched in 2017, the Jeep Compass 2021 which has gone under the hammer is now a brand new vehicle. In and out the New Jeep Compass 2021 comes with prominent changes in the design, loads of new features and gizmos.

Facelift

Compass 2021 carries over the Jeep's signature grill design from the older generation but with
a twist, seven grills resemble to be air intakes instead they are dummy once, air dams sit inside the bumper. Grill and the Jeep logos are made of anodized gum metal. A 360-degree parking assist camera is stationed right on the nose of the Compass. On the side profile, you get to see squared wheel arches painted in the body colour instead of the black. The redesigned bumper fits the cleverly designed fog lights. Headlamps are LED projectors, sharp-looking DRL’s now places above the projectors. A set of 18-inch Diamond cut alloys are
equipped on the top the line S variant while the tail lamps are now all LED.

Body & Engine


The frame is made of high tensile strength steel for increased body strength and
rigidity, assembled using a laser welding technique for stronger welds. The car is equipped
with 6 Airbags (Driver, Passenger, 2 Curtain, Driver Side). The engine and gearbox
have not changed, there are two BSVI engine variants offered on the Compass, 1.4L
Multiair Petrol producing 160HP power and 250NM torque and a 2.0L Multijet Turbo
Diesel punching out 170HP and 350NM torque. Two transmission options 7-Speed DDCT and 9-Speed Automatic.

Cockpit

The interior appears quite spacious, with a modernized dash with the all-new 10.1-inch HD touchscreen infotainment stands high in the centre of the dash which is dynamic and comes with UConnect 5 technology complemented by 9 speaker Alpine speakers setup where a subwoofer is placed in the trunk, underneath the screen are tucked in AC vents. Chrome runs around the dash giving the vehicle a lush premium feel with double-stitched leather in the centre. The main highlight of the vehicle is the new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster displaying all the required information at a glance. Customizable cluster where-in drives can set anyone out of the five tiles and select from the required parameters to be displayed while driving. The centre console has grown big farming a select terrain toggles switch below the E-break. An Auto Hold switch so that you don’t have to press the brake frequently while moving in traffic, along with it are the 4WD drive mode buttons, which were integrated into the knob in the previous generation. Expanded cubby space to fit in your Venti Coffee and more storage under the arm-rest. A redesigned steering wheel with Jeep logo placed horizontally surrounded by chrome.

UConnect

Powerful hardware blended with commanding software, over-the-air updates for latest features throughout the life cycle of the vehicle are the part of the package. It also comes with personalization that saves user profile settings. UConnect is integrated with Wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. Jeep's My UConnect mobile app lets you lock/unlock the vehicle via a cellular phone, check car's health status, driver analytics to monitor driving pattern and Geo-Fencing technology. Voice command so the driver doesn’t have to take off eyes of the road while driving. Stolen vehicle assist unfortunately if your vehicle gets stolen, just call to Jeeps call-centre and the vehicle will be disabled.
