Hyundai Motors India Ltd has launched the facelift version of its famous sub-4-meter compact SUV the Venue recently with loads of new first-in-the-class features and a refreshed look on the exterior as well as interior carrying forward old styling elements.
Exterior

At the first glance, the Venues design looks inspired by its overseas cousin the Palisade which is a 7-setter SUV. The front grill has black chrome elements and a square chin which differentiates the new iteration from the older one. The headlamps are now new ones with projector LEDs compared to the older halogen ones. The company has given a miss to fog lamps this time as they claim the new LED headlamps are powerful enough to offer better illumination. On the side, the car gets chrome door handles and new designed alloy wheels which look attractive, fitted with 16-inch radials, large wheel arches and an underlining black element that gives the car a sportier and rugged look. The roof of the car is blacked out along with matte silver roof rails. The highlight of the tail is the ‘H’ patented tail lights and LED strip connecting both ends. Again in the rear bumper, there is an addition of black inserts similar to the front end.

Interior

The cabin looks spacious enough with dual-tone black and ivory treatment. The centre console gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen and has SIM-based connected car technology. The venue was the first in the call to offer SIM-based connected car technology in the previous generation, it also gets a new flat-bottom steering wheel which can be seen in the new i20 as well.

The fully digital instrument cluster is borrowed from the sibling cars like i20, Verna, and KIA Carens. The rear seat gets a reclining feature which is first in the class for a car of this size. The centre armrest has a decent amount of storage and the air purifier is integrated inside the centre armrest while the bootspace is of 350 litres.
